Troubleshooting Missing Statistics
Step-by-step checks when expected visitor statistics are missing or have stopped updating in Look2Guide.
Confirm the expected collection method
First confirm whether your project uses manual Windows upload, connected smart chargers, or another agreed workflow. Troubleshooting depends on the collection method. Manual projects do not update until someone uploads data. Connected-charger projects depend on charger power and network connectivity.
Check the date of the last known data
Open Insights and identify when statistics last appeared. If data stopped after a move, network change, charger replacement, IT policy change, or public holiday, include that information when contacting support. It usually narrows the cause quickly.
For manual upload, run the uploader again
If your project uses the Windows statistics upload software, connect the guides or Statdock, open the uploader, enter the correct statistics code, and let the upload finish. If the app cannot connect, ask IT to allow HTTPS access to look2guide.com and to allow the application to run.
For connected chargers, check power and network
If your project uses connected smart chargers, confirm the chargers have power, are connected to the expected network, and have not been moved to a new network without notice. Ask local IT whether a firewall, proxy, or captive portal could block the charger.
Do not reset equipment too early
Avoid resetting chargers, deleting data, or replacing devices before support has checked the situation. In some cases the usage data may still be stored on the guides and can be recovered through the normal upload path.
Send support a concise report
Include the project name, missing date range, collection method, charger or Statdock details, any recent move or IT change, and screenshots or error messages from the uploader if available.
