Network Requirements For Statistics Upload
Firewall and IT requirements for uploading statistics from the Windows uploader or connected smart chargers.
Allow Look2Guide over HTTPS
The Windows statistics upload software and connected statistics systems need HTTPS access to Look2Guide. Ask your IT team to allow outbound HTTPS traffic to https://www.look2guide.com/ and https://look2guide.com/. In most installations, no inbound firewall rule is needed for the upload software.
Check proxy and firewall inspection
Some institutional networks use a proxy, firewall inspection, or application control that can block or modify requests. If uploads fail even though the internet works in a browser, ask IT to check whether the upload application or charger traffic is being blocked, rewritten, or intercepted.
Allow the Windows application to run
The Windows uploader may be blocked by local app-control policies, especially on managed museum or school laptops. If the app downloads but does not open, or if Windows says the app is blocked by policy, ask IT to allow the Look2Guide statistics uploader on that computer.
Use the exact statistics code
The uploader needs the statistics code shown in Look2Guide under Devices > Software. If the code is missing, copied incorrectly, or belongs to another project, the upload cannot be assigned to the right project.
When to contact support
Contact Look2Guide support if the app opens but uploads still fail after HTTPS access to look2guide.com is allowed. Include the project name, the computer or site network where it fails, whether a proxy is used, and any error message shown by the uploader.
