How Look2Guide Statistics Collection Works
Understand the two main ways Look2Guide collects audio guide statistics: manual Windows upload and automatic connected smart-charger upload.
Choose the correct statistics flow
Look2Guide statistics can be collected in two main ways. Some projects use the Windows statistics upload software with a Statdock or direct device connection. Other projects use connected smart chargers that upload statistics automatically when the chargers are online. Both flows send usage data to Look2Guide so you can review language usage, exhibit visits, listen percentage, and visitor activity in Insights.
Manual upload with the Windows software
Use this flow when your project uses a Statdock or when the audio guides are connected to a Windows computer for upload. Open your project, go to Devices > Software, download the Windows statistics upload software, unzip the file, open LookStatistics.Application, enter the statistics code shown on the Software page, then connect the audio guides or Statdock and let the upload finish.
Automatic upload with connected smart chargers
Use this flow when your installation has smart chargers connected to the internet. When audio guides are placed in the charger, the charger reads statistics from the guides and uploads them automatically. The charger must have power and a working network connection. It must also be allowed by the local network or firewall to reach Look2Guide.
Avoid duplicate or missing data
Do not mix upload methods without checking with Look2Guide support. If the same guide data is uploaded through more than one path, the platform is designed to avoid duplicate counting where possible, but a clean workflow is still easier to troubleshoot. If data is missing, first confirm which collection method your project uses.
Know when data appears
Statistics usually appear after an upload has completed and Look2Guide has processed the incoming data. If you use manual upload, data will not update until someone runs the software and connects the guides or Statdock. If you use connected smart chargers, data depends on the chargers staying online and being able to reach Look2Guide.
