Device Is Hot Or Charging Slowly
Basic safety and troubleshooting checks when audio guides or chargers feel hot or charging takes longer than expected.
Stop using visibly damaged equipment
If a guide, charger, cable, or power supply is visibly damaged, smells unusual, is swollen, or becomes extremely hot, stop using it and contact Look2Guide support. Do not continue charging damaged equipment.
Check ventilation and placement
Chargers and guides can become warm during charging. Make sure the charger is on a stable surface with normal airflow. Do not cover the charger, stack items on top of it, or place it near another heat source.
Use the correct power setup
Use the supplied or approved power supply and cables. An incorrect power supply, damaged cable, overloaded power strip, or unstable outlet can cause slow charging or unusual heat.
Reduce charging current if advised
If overheating continues, Look2Guide support may advise reducing the charge current, for example to 1 amp. This can reduce heat, but charging will take longer. Only change charger settings when you know which setting applies to your charger model.
Allow more time for slower charging
If the charge current is reduced, plan for longer charging time before the next visitor day. Check a small batch first before changing the whole installation workflow.
Contact support with details
Include the charger model, number of devices charging, whether the issue affects one slot or all slots, the room temperature if unusual, photos of the setup if useful, and when the issue started.
