Configuring Statistics Collection using the Statdock
LookKiosk is a statistics platform that lets you collect, upload, and analyze usage data from your audio guides. It consists of two parts: LookKiosk.com (website) which is used to view statistics, manage content, and control access; and the windows upload software, which is used to transfer statistics from audio guides to your LookKiosk project. Together, these tools allow you to reliably track usage data and interpret it in context (languages, exhibits, content).
Access Your LookKiosk Project
When you are invited to a project, you will get an email invitation. Simply click the button to accept!
Accept the Project Invitation
Accept the invitation, then refresh the page. The project becomes active and visible in your account.
Understanding the Project Tabs
Inside your project, you’ll find three tabs:
Insights • View the latest uploaded statistics • Analyze usage over time
Content • Upload the guide.ini file from your audio guide CMS • This links statistics to real content (languages, exhibits, tracks) • Example: “Language 1 – Exhibit 1” becomes “Flower Painting”
Access • Download the Windows statistics upload software • Manage user access (admins or statistics-only users) • Find your statistics code (required for uploads)
Download the Upload Software
You now have the tool required to upload statistics from audio guides.
Enter Your Statistics Code
In the windows statistics software:
• Copy the statistics code from Settings → Software • Paste it into the Windows softwareThe software is now linked to your specific LookKiosk project.
Connect the Audio Guides
- Connect the audio guides to the computer using the 'Statdock AG'
- The software uploads the statistics automatically
- You’ll see a confirmation once the upload is complete
- Only new data is uploaded (duplicates are ignored)
View Updated Statistics
Wait a short moment, then go back to the Insights tab on LookKiosk.com. Statistics appear within 15 minutes of upload.

What if I connect the same audio guide twice?
No issue. Statistics are checked for duplicates, and only new data is uploaded.

How long does it take for statistics to appear?
Up to 15 minutes after upload.

How are timestamps determined?
Audio guides do not have an internal clock. Timestamps are based on the date and time of upload.

How often should I upload statistics?
As often as you want. For clean month-by-month reporting, connect all guides at least once near the end of each month.
